Public content is content that is been set to the “Public” content visibility. For example, what you might find on the Discover page. To foster a comfortable platform for all, this content is handled differently from content in your private campaigns.
Content should be in the Spirit of the Platform
Friends & Fables is a generative tabletop gaming experience, and as such, our users expect content that is in the spirit of TTRPG experiences.
This does NOT mean that mature themes are prohibited. For example, Game of Thrones or Baldur’s Gate are both fantasy experiences that contain mature themes such as violence and sex, but they are both in the spirit of their respective mediums. If your published world or creation contains some content that has mature themes, that is okay, as long as that’s not the whole point of the content. Content in private worlds and campaigns are not moderated.
Prohibited Public Content
The following content is not allowed in any published content:
Explicit Sexual Images: Any graphic sexual imagery or depictions of sexual acts in uploaded images. No nudity.
Hate Speech: Content that discriminates against or promotes hatred towards individuals or groups based on attributes such as race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, or disabilities.
Extreme Violence: Graphic depictions of gore or extreme violence.
Self-Harm: Content that glorifies or promotes self-harm or suicide.
Public Content Enforcement
Depending on the nature and severity of the violation, we may take the following actions:
Removing public content that violates the Community Guidelines.
Temporarily or permanently restricting a user's ability to publish content.
Users may appeal restrictions by contacting the support team at [email protected].
Copyright
If you use another person’s copyrighted work in content you publish on Friends & Fables, they can send Friends & Fables a notification of claimed infringement, which is sometimes referred to as a “takedown request” or a “DMCA notification.”
Once such a request is received, we review it to make sure it has the information required by applicable copyright law to be valid. If the takedown request passes the review, the allegedly infringing content will be disabled or removed from Friends & Fables to comply with applicable copyright law.
We understand that creators often don’t break the rules intentionally and that any copyright infringement may not be intentional. Nevertheless, if a takedown request is valid, a copyright strike will be applied to the infringing account. Accounts that accrue 3 or more copyright strikes are generally considered repeat infringers and are subject to our sole discretion having their ability to publish content be disabled or their accounts suspended.
