How to Travel

Traveling in F&F is simple. All you need to do is describe where you want to go, and Franz will handle the movement for you. You can give directions, time, or point to a specific POI. Franz will now also proactively update travel based on his own narration, making movement feel far more natural.
To move using direction or time, write something like:
โI walk 15 minutes north.โ
To travel toward a specific location without instantly arriving, write:
โI make my way toward Ezraโs Tavern.โ
To instantly arrive at a place after a long trek, use language such as:
โI spend hours traveling and finally arrive at Ezraโs Tavern.โ
Mentioning a specific POI sets your destination. Mentioning direction + distance or time lets Franz move you through an area accordingly. Using @mentions (for example, โI walk to @Ezraโs Tavernโ) improves travel accuracy.
Traveling across larger areas works best with time and direction statements like โI travel 2 hours east.โ If you mention the name of an area, Franz will target the center of that area or the nearest edge.
Within POIs, movement is based on map position. Use phrasing such as:
โI walk over to Tennelโ or โI move 10 feet to the right.โ
Since Franz now processes both your text and his own narration, he may move characters or NPCs automatically when appropriate. If an NPC agreed to meet with you at a certain location, then Franz will move the NPC to the mentioned location.
If Franz interprets your movement incorrectly, you can easily correct or adjust your position at any time.
